Balinese Gender
A 14 tone Xyliphone from Bali, the Gender is one of the Gamelan Orchestra instruments. It is played with large soft headed mallets, has metal chambers and hand cast bells. It has a deep and haunting tone. This instrument does not appear on any of Kate’s current releases, but is primary to her new work.
